Stepping into Polène’s Champs-Élysées store reveals a setting that is as serene as it is majestic, with its dramatic columns. The two-story 450m2 space was designed by architectural firm WGNB. Curves flow throughout the ground floor, from the domes to the rounded furniture. Minimalist shelving crafted from hand-cut Italian travertine displays the brand’s collections of leather goods. Sculpted in oak, the tabletops are covered with compressed leather off-cuts. This leatherwork extends all the way to the checkout counter, which is covered in LeatherStone® by Hors Studio’s Elodie Michaud and Rebecca Fezard. The design and research duo invented a new material, transforming leather into stone to achieve a mineral appearance.

The store’s spiral staircase invites visitors to explore more creations on the upper floor. There, a curved Marianna Ladreyt sofa features interwoven leather cylinders. Polène’s jewelry is displayed on a striking table designed by Clémentine Debaere-Lewandowski, featuring 500 pieces of white stoneware imprinted with various rock textures found near the brand’s Ubrique workshops. These earthy fragments serve to ground the ephemeral character of nature. These collaborations with French creators reflect Polène’s enthusiasm for celebrating artisanship.
