At the heart of the Quadrilatero della moda, amid cobbled streets, secret little courtyards and historic palaces, Polène is unveiling its first Italian store, a space where design, materials and leather-working savoir-faire come together in harmony.
Designed by the Danish studio Norm Architects, the store is a sensory journey. The enfilade unfolds along a gradient color palette, progressing from very light to much darker tones. Each material evolves in color and texture, from raw to refined, reflecting Polène’s desire to explore matter in all of its guises and create a palpable rhythm throughout the store.
Echoing this approach, a ceramic piece by Italian artist Clara Graziolino occupies the last room. The material is crafted like leather, evoking transformation and technique, while extending the communion between art and artisanship that permeates the space.
Finally, the immersive Leather Orchestra experience invites visitors to lead an orchestra of leather panels, where the movement of materials forms sounds. Design and artisanship meet in this poetic duet, the materials ringing out in tune with the city.
