Designed to inspire countless uses, the Yni basket makes a lovely centrepiece on the dining table, but could just as well hold fruit on a kitchen counter or trinkets on a sideboard. Seemingly without beginning or end, the whole underscores the illusion of infinite loops and embodies the idea of circularity. Drawing on their shared attachment to nature, Hurtigkarl and Polène have selected raffia to interlace the strips made from leather offcuts. The light-hued plant-based fibre stitching contrasts well with the three shades in which the piece is offered: Ebony, Olive and Chalk.
